Al Thuraya Exhibition and Platform continues its events until January 29, showcasing luxurious handcrafted creations including traditional incense burners, Moroccan caftans, abayas, gowns, gold, jewelry, embroidery, ready-to-wear women’s fashion, furniture, decorations, and confectionery. The fourth edition of the event, held at Marina Hall in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), features distinguished entrepreneurs, creative designers, restaurants, and cafes presenting diverse products and innovative initiatives that support the exhibition’s creative objectives.

Al Thuraya Exhibition takes place under the patronage of Sheikha Dr. Shama bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions and Chairwoman of Al Thuraya Platform. The event is also sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, ADNEC, and Abu Dhabi Media Company, according to official statements.

Global Participation at Al Thuraya Exhibition

The exhibition brings together leading exhibitors and creators from inside and outside the United Arab Emirates under one roof. Participants showcase a unique collection of women’s fashion, jewelry, accessories, home furniture, and premium products that reflect creativity and high craftsmanship. The event has witnessed significant attendance from visitors interested in exploring the diverse offerings from international and local vendors.

Additionally, the platform includes a comprehensive program featuring art exhibitions, cultural and poetry evenings, panel discussions, and specialized workshops. These activities highlight pioneering women’s entrepreneurial experiences and discuss growth and sustainability opportunities in cultural and creative sectors, organizers reported.

Entrepreneurial Opportunities and Cultural Exchange

Majda Ammar Al Ameri, a regular participant, noted that she renews her products annually for the exhibition. Her collection includes Emirati traditional costumes, incense, perfumes, and Moroccan caftans suitable for Ramadan. She emphasized that the exhibition provides opportunities for networking and serves as a window to creativity, allowing exhibitors to exchange experiences and connect with distinguished creators from around the world.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Al Ash, a perfume maker exhibiting custom incense burners, expressed pride in participating alongside elite international and local traders. She sources oils from America, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, France, and Switzerland, creating unique blends in her private workshop. The entrepreneur mentioned that she has worked in this field for over 10 years, inheriting her passion from her grandmother, and her perfumes carry names inspired by ancient Emirati poetry.

Youth Innovation and Creative Ventures

The exhibition opens doors for creative competition among young entrepreneurs. Abdullah Abbas Al Bastaki, who presents chocolate beverages in an innovative format, stated that participation allows him to promote his youth project while gaining exposure to international experiences. His approach features ideas tailored to appeal to the current generation of consumers.

However, Al Thuraya Platform represents more than just a commercial venue. According to event organizers, it serves as a qualitative cultural and economic initiative contributing to supporting creative industries and enhancing the cultural economy. The platform provides an interactive space that brings together creators, artists, intellectuals, and entrepreneurs, particularly Emirati businesswomen.

Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship

In contrast to traditional exhibition formats, Al Thuraya Platform specifically focuses on empowering Emirati women entrepreneurs. The initiative enables them to showcase their creative projects, expand networking opportunities, and open new horizons for partnerships and investment in the creative sector. This approach aligns with broader national objectives to diversify the economy and promote cultural industries.

The exhibition demonstrates the growing importance of handcrafted and artisanal products in regional markets. Products range from traditional Emirati heritage items to international luxury goods, all emphasizing quality craftsmanship and creative design. Exhibitors benefit from direct interaction with customers and potential business partners during the multi-day event.

As the exhibition continues through January 29, organizers anticipate maintaining strong visitor turnout and facilitating additional business connections among participants. The success of this fourth edition may influence planning for future iterations of Al Thuraya Platform in Abu Dhabi and potentially other locations.
