Abu Dhabi continues to strengthen its position as a premier destination for tourism and entertainment, with Ferrari World Abu Dhabi ranking first globally among the most attractive theme parks to visit in 2025. The achievement underscores the emirate’s commitment to delivering world-class experiences that attract visitors from within the UAE and internationally, according to the specialized travel and tourism platform TripAdvisor.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has maintained its position as a leading theme park destination for over a decade and a half since its launch on Yas Island. The park operates year-round and has received more than 35 international awards, including recognition as the world’s leading theme park, cementing its status among global entertainment destinations.

Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy Drives Growth

The emirate has prioritized tourism development through diversifying cultural and sports attractions while supporting investment in the sector. These efforts align with the National Tourism Strategy 2031, which focuses on enhancing tourism identity, developing specialized products, and building sector capabilities through strategic partnerships with local hospitality and entertainment entities.

The “Most Beautiful Winter in the World” campaign, implemented this year under the theme “Our Winter is Leadership” by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in collaboration with various tourism and cultural heritage authorities, highlights exceptional tourist destinations across the UAE. The initiative aims to encourage investment and economic development while enhancing visitor experiences for both domestic and international tourists.

Record-Breaking Attractions and Facilities

Under its iconic red roof, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi houses more than 40 attractions, including the world’s fastest roller coaster and the world’s tallest space frame structure. The park forms part of three covered theme parks on Yas Island, alongside Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld, Clymb Abu Dhabi, and the water park Yas Waterworld. Yas Island recorded more than 38 million visits during 2024, representing a 10 percent increase compared to 2023.

Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster, attracts adventure enthusiasts seeking high-speed thrills through a simulated Formula 1 driving experience. The attraction holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest roller coaster globally, offering visitors an unparalleled adrenaline rush.

Family-Friendly Experiences at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

The theme park offers scaled-down versions of its most popular attractions suitable for children and families. Formula Rossa Junior provides younger adventure seekers with an exciting experience in cars reaching speeds of 45 kilometers per hour, while the Turbo Tower rises to a height of 13.5 meters before delivering a free-fall experience.

Additionally, visitors can experience Junior Flying Aces, the scaled-down version suitable for all family members, and participate in challenges at the Junior Training Camp. For those preferring calmer experiences, Bell’Italia offers a leisurely ride in a classic 1958 Ferrari 250 California through scenic Italian landscapes, passing famous landmarks including the Rome Colosseum and Venice.

Inclusive Entertainment Standards

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has distinguished itself by providing exceptional experiences for children with autism, earning global recognition. The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) awarded Yas theme parks, including Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld, Yas Waterworld, and Clymb, the designation of Certified Autism Center.

This certification demonstrates commitment to providing more suitable and welcoming entertainment environments for guests with autism or sensory sensitivities. The designation also supports the needs of their families, enabling them to enjoy a complete and safe experience, according to park officials.

Beyond attractions, the theme park features authentic Italian restaurants and cafés alongside fast-food outlets and international buffets. Visitors can explore the world’s largest Ferrari retail store and numerous family-friendly attractions featuring advanced simulation technology, live shows, and an inspiring collection of racing memorabilia.

As Abu Dhabi continues implementing its tourism development strategies, further enhancements to visitor experiences and expansion of entertainment offerings are expected. The emirate’s focus on sustainability and developing national talent within the tourism sector positions it for continued growth as a global luxury and major events hub.
