The announcement came during a signing ceremony held on the first day of the summit on November 4, 2025, marking a significant expansion of the company’s portfolio across the Middle East and beyond.
The Dubai-based hospitality firm revealed the rebranding of three prominent hotels in Dubai under Marriott International’s portfolio, specifically under the Tribute Portfolio and Autograph Collection brands. These properties include The First Collection Marina Dubai Tribute Portfolio, The First Collection Waterfront Dubai Tribute Portfolio, and Local Dubai Jumeirah Village Triangle Autograph Collection.
Strategic Expansion of Hotel Management Operations
The three rebranded hotels are strategically located in Dubai’s vibrant districts including Dubai Marina, Business Bay, and Jumeirah Village Triangle. According to the company, this positioning demonstrates its commitment to operating distinctive and contemporary hotel destinations while leveraging the strength and reach of Marriott International’s brands and loyalty programs.
Additionally, on the second day of the summit, The First Group for hospitality announced a partnership with BB Holding Group to operate the Radisson RED Al Marjan Island. The 261-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 as the first Radisson RED property in the United Arab Emirates, further strengthening the company’s presence on Al Marjan Island, one of Ras Al Khaimah’s premier tourism developments.
European Market Entry and Diverse Portfolio Growth
In a significant milestone, The First Group announced a third agreement to manage the Gennadi Seaside Resort on the Greek island of Rhodes. This partnership represents the company’s first step into the European market, expanding its geographical footprint beyond the Middle East region.
The agreements signed during the Global Hospitality Future Summit reflect the company’s versatility in managing various hotel types. Rob Burns, CEO of The First Group, stated that the diverse operational agreements highlight the company’s capabilities in handling different hotel categories, from mid-range to luxury properties and from urban hotels to beach resorts.
Growing Partnership with Global Hotel Brands
According to Burns, the signing of these prominent agreements reflects the increasing collaboration between The First Group for hospitality and leading global hotel brands. He expressed gratitude to the company’s partners for their trust in the company’s vision and ongoing support for its ambitious journey.
Meanwhile, the series of agreements comes amid continuous growth in The First Group’s hotel portfolio. The company recently announced its collaboration with IHG Hotels and Resorts to manage the Holiday Inn Dubai Village Circle, a 349-room property located 25 kilometers from Al Maktoum International Airport.
Strengthening Industry Partnerships
The new IHG project enhances the existing partnership between the two parties, which includes other distinctive projects such as Viel Dubai Marina, part of the voco Hotels collection. However, that property is set to become the world’s tallest hotel upon its upcoming opening, according to the company.
The hospitality management firm’s expansion strategy demonstrates its capability to work with multiple international hotel brands simultaneously. These partnerships span various market segments, from lifestyle and boutique properties to mid-scale and upscale offerings, positioning the company as a versatile operator in the competitive hospitality sector.
The company has not disclosed specific timelines for the operational commencement of all newly announced properties. Industry observers expect further announcements regarding additional partnerships and project developments as The First Group continues to expand its regional and international presence throughout 2025 and beyond.
