Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi is hosting the second edition of “The Cove House” from February 5 to 8, offering visitors a whimsical wonderland-inspired experience that combines creativity, interaction, and discovery in a family-friendly atmosphere. The popular community event returns with enhanced features designed to align with the Year of the Family initiatives, focusing on cultural connection and shared experiences for all age groups.
According to organizers, this year’s edition emphasizes interactive activities that strengthen family bonds and cultural communication. The event features carefully designed décor, creative installations, and immersive experiences supported by thoughtfully arranged lighting to create enchanting environments inspired by fantasy worlds and childhood stories.
The Cove House Event Features Over 80 Vendors
The Cove House brings together more than 80 exhibitors representing diverse sectors including fashion, beauty, food, and beverages. The event showcases local entrepreneurs and homegrown brands from various nationalities, providing a platform for small businesses and community-based enterprises to reach wider audiences.
Additionally, the gathering has been designed to appeal equally to families and young adults, creating an inclusive environment that encourages participation across demographic groups. The whimsical theme draws inspiration from beloved childhood tales and imaginary worlds, transforming the park into an interactive wonderland.
Interactive Workshops and Entertainment Activities
Visitors to The Cove House can participate in hands-on artistic workshops supervised by Khazaf Fine Arts, a specialist in ceramics and pottery crafts. These creative sessions offer attendees the opportunity to learn traditional and contemporary ceramic techniques while creating their own artistic pieces.
Meanwhile, interactive entertainment activities include video gaming stations that add an engaging digital dimension throughout the event’s duration. The combination of traditional crafts and modern entertainment reflects the event’s goal of bridging different forms of creative expression and appealing to varied interests.
Umm Al Emarat Park Winter Program Continues
In contrast to the temporary Cove House installation, Umm Al Emarat Park maintains its ongoing winter programming to reinforce its position as a leading community destination suitable for families in Abu Dhabi. The park’s regular offerings complement the special event, providing multiple reasons for residents and visitors to explore the venue.
However, the park’s weekly attractions extend beyond The Cove House. The Garden Market takes place every Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, featuring live entertainment performances and family-oriented experiences that create a vibrant weekend atmosphere.
Cinema Offerings Add Cultural Dimension
Furthermore, the park continues its Garden Cinema screenings on Fridays and Saturdays, presenting a curated selection of family-friendly and adventure films. These outdoor cinema experiences provide entertainment in the cooler evening temperatures that characterize Abu Dhabi’s winter season.
Additionally, Sunday Cinema events occur at 6:00 PM in collaboration with Image Nation, the Abu Dhabi-based film and entertainment company. This partnership brings quality film content to community audiences in an accessible outdoor setting, according to park officials.
The alignment of The Cove House event with the Year of the Family objectives demonstrates how cultural programming supports broader national initiatives. By creating spaces for shared experiences and intergenerational activities, the event contributes to strengthening family connections through creative engagement and community participation.
The four-day event concludes on February 8, though authorities have not confirmed whether The Cove House will return for additional editions later in the year. Umm Al Emarat Park’s regular winter programming is expected to continue through the cooler months as the venue maintains its schedule of weekend markets and cinema screenings.
