The congratulatory messages, received in Abu Dhabi on February 5, 2026, highlighted how the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity transforms humanitarian principles into tangible impact that serves humanity and strengthens global stability.
The messages came from heads of state, government leaders, and international organizations recognizing the seventh edition of the award. The 2026 honorees include the peace agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, Palestinian Cooperation Foundation, and Zarqa Yaftali for her work in girls’ education.
Regional Leaders Praise Zayed Award for Human Fraternity Initiative
King Abdullah II of Jordan sent a video message congratulating the honorees and commending them for embodying human fraternity principles through real actions. According to his message, honoring the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia represents a courageous choice for the path of peace and demonstrates dialogue’s capacity to end conflicts regardless of duration.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan sent a congratulatory letter praising the award’s profound ethical message. He stated that honoring the peace initiative between Azerbaijan and Armenia proves that reconciliation is not weakness but rather an expression of political wisdom and moral strength, confirming his country’s continued support for peace and dialogue pathways.
Peace Agreement Recognition Draws International Attention
President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan sent a video message valuing the decision to honor the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, describing it as a courageous step with regional and international impact. He characterized the agreement as a model for resolving disputes through diplomacy and building mutual trust.
Meanwhile, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan congratulated the honorees, noting that the world amid current challenges urgently needs responsible leadership capable of prioritizing dialogue over conflict. He praised the pioneering role of the United Arab Emirates in supporting peace initiatives and transforming Abu Dhabi into a global dialogue center.
Additionally, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey sent a congratulatory message expressing support for peace efforts in the Caucasus region. According to the Turkish president, he commended the leadership of Azerbaijan and Armenia for courageous steps toward establishing lasting peace, confirming Turkey’s readiness to continue supporting initiatives that enhance regional stability.

President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon sent a video message congratulating the honorees and praising the Palestinian Cooperation Foundation’s humanitarian and developmental role. First Lady of Turkey Emine Erdoğan praised the award’s role in honoring inspiring humanitarian models, particularly Zarqa Yaftali’s recognition for her struggle for women’s and girls’ education. Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, sent a letter confirming that education, especially girls’ education, represents a fundamental pillar for peace and human dignity. Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, expressed sincere thanks to all international leaders and officials for their messages.
