The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority has unveiled an ambitious programming lineup for Ramadan 2026, featuring 18 drama series from the United Arab Emirates, Gulf countries, and the wider Arab world, alongside more than 100 programs. This comprehensive schedule reflects the authority’s commitment to serving diverse audience segments while promoting social values rooted in Emirati traditions and culture.

According to Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the Ramadan programming embodies a vision of meaningful media that preserves Emirati and Arab family values. The announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts to solidify Sharjah’s position as a leading hub for creativity and content production in the region.

Ramadan 2026 Programming Highlights Local and Gulf Drama

The diverse drama offerings for Ramadan 2026 include popular series featuring prominent actors from across the Emirates and Gulf states. Sharjah Channel will broadcast “Shams Al Aseel,” “Khutuwat Saghira,” and “Ghanawi Al Shoq,” while Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba will air “Darb Al Dahab” and “Al Yateem.” Meanwhile, Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid will present the Bedouin series “Tha’alib Al Sahraa” and the Gulf production “Sumoom Al Qaydh.”

However, the programming extends beyond traditional television broadcasts. Hind Al Saedi, Director of Miraya platform, announced that audiences can access exclusive Emirati series available only on the digital platform, including “11 Bel Meya” and “Ayela Mayla.” Additionally, the platform will stream series broadcast on the authority’s channels, such as “Al Souq Al Hurra,” “Ya Ana Ya Hia,” “Sadat Al Majnoun,” and “Al Nuwailati,” along with the animated series “Qas Wa Lasq.”

Family Values Take Center Stage

The programming director emphasized that this year’s content places special emphasis on family themes, aligning with the UAE’s designated “Year of the Family.” The Ramadan 2026 programming aims to strengthen family bonds and reinforce authentic social values through carefully selected content that respects the holy month’s significance.

Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the Authority, stated that the Ramadan programs respond to community aspirations while focusing on raising public awareness about the importance of the blessed month. The authority has ensured that this year’s programs are more distinctive by selecting content that suits community taste and heritage, according to official statements.

Heritage and Interactive Content Complement Drama Series

In addition to drama productions, the Ramadan 2026 programming includes heritage-focused game shows across multiple channels. These include “Al Nishan” on Sharjah TV, “Al Souq Al Qadeem” on Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba, and “Al Hisn” on Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid. The lineup also features the radio-television program “Najm Al Majalis” and various radio competitions on Sharjah Radio and Plus 95, alongside the traditional Iftar cannon program.

Religious programming remains a cornerstone of the schedule, with shows including “Fatawa,” “Ebad Al Rahman,” “Fi Rehab Sura,” and Quranic recitations. Educational and cultural programs round out the offerings with “Al Madaress Al Qasimiya,” “Diwan Al Arab,” “Asl Al Khat,” “Hikayat Min Al Sharqiya,” “Bekom Tehla,” and “Al Araba.” Furthermore, Sharjah 2 Channel continues its educational and cultural mission with programs such as “Al Majlis Al Ramadani,” “Masar Al Shabab,” and “Aswat Muathera.”

The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority has not announced specific premiere dates for individual programs, though the comprehensive Ramadan 2026 programming is expected to launch at the beginning of the holy month. Authorities continue to refine the broadcast schedule to ensure optimal viewing experiences for diverse audience segments throughout the region.
