The championship title at the eighth edition of the Arab Club Games for Women 2026 remains undecided after both Al-Fuhais of Jordan and Al-Amal of Tunisia secured decisive victories in the sixth round of basketball competition. The two teams will face each other in the final round on Wednesday to determine the tournament winner, with Al-Fuhais seeking to defend their title for the third consecutive time.

Al-Fuhais defeated Khorfakkan for Women 91-71 to secure their fifth consecutive victory, while Al-Amal Tunisia overcame Gas Al-Shamal of Iraq 76-54, according to tournament reports. Additionally, Al-Fatah of Kuwait defeated Al-Hala of Bahrain 78-59 in the penultimate round of the women’s basketball tournament.

Current Standings in Arab Club Games Basketball

Al-Fuhais strengthened their position at the top of the standings with a perfect record of 10 points from five matches. The Jordanian champions hold a narrow one-point advantage over their closest rivals Al-Amal Tunisia, who have accumulated nine points heading into the decisive final round.

Meanwhile, Al-Fatah Kuwait and Al-Sharjah Sports for Women share third place with eight points each. Al-Sharjah received a bye in this round but remains in contention for a podium finish when competition concludes.

Al-Fuhais Dominates Khorfakkan

The defending champions displayed their superiority against Khorfakkan, winning by a 20-point margin in a match they controlled from the opening quarter. Al-Fuhais established their dominance early, winning the first two quarters 25-18 and 32-13, respectively.

However, Khorfakkan improved their performance in the third quarter and reduced the deficit. The Jordanian side regained control in the final period, outscoring their opponents 22-17 to confirm their readiness to defend the Arab Club Games basketball crown.

Al-Amal Tunisia Maintains Title Chase

Al-Amal Tunisia continued their pursuit of the championship with a convincing 22-point victory over Gas Al-Shamal Iraq. The Tunisian squad dominated the first three quarters with scores of 21-16, 25-11, and 16-12, according to match reports.

In contrast, the Iraqi team showed improvement only in the final quarter, but their late rally proved insufficient to alter the outcome. The victory keeps Al-Amal’s championship hopes alive heading into the crucial final-round showdown.

Lower Table Movements

Gas Al-Shamal Iraq dropped to fifth place with seven points, level on points with Khorfakkan, who have completed their tournament campaign. Al-Hala Bahrain remains in seventh and last place with five points after their defeat to Kuwait.

Additionally, the results have confirmed that only the Wednesday encounter between the top two teams will determine the final championship standings. Both Al-Fuhais and Al-Amal have demonstrated strong form throughout the competition, setting up an anticipated title decider.

The final round match between Al-Fuhais and Al-Amal on Wednesday will determine the women’s basketball champion at the Arab Club Games 2026. Al-Fuhais need only a draw to secure their third consecutive title, while Al-Amal must win to claim the championship for the first time.
