A delegation from the Bavarian Police in Germany has praised Abu Dhabi Police for its developmental achievements and innovative efforts during a recent visit to the United Arab Emirates. The visit, which took place in February 2025, focused on strengthening international partnerships, adopting joint technical initiatives, and exchanging expertise to enhance security work efficiency and keep pace with global changes.
According to officials, the delegation explored the Abu Dhabi Police General Command’s developmental practices and advanced systems that contribute to enhancing security sustainability and raising police readiness levels in the emirate. The visit underscored the commitment of both law enforcement agencies to foster international cooperation and share best practices with security institutions in friendly nations.
Abu Dhabi Police Innovation Showcased to International Delegation
Brigadier Dr. Rashid Mohammed Borshid, Director of the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences, received the delegation and briefed them on the training and qualification system in place. During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to coordinate and cooperate in policing and security work, exchange scientific and specialized knowledge, and conduct benchmark comparisons of best practices and developmental services.
The visiting delegation learned about the academy’s pioneering role in employing the latest contemporary technologies in modern police and security training according to international standards and best practices. Additionally, the academy’s comprehensive approach to law enforcement education demonstrates Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to maintaining world-class training facilities.
Special Operations and Forensic Capabilities Highlighted
The Bavarian delegation also toured the Special Missions Sector, where they were introduced to operational readiness procedures, rapid response mechanisms, and the use of advanced technologies in executing security tasks. Officials presented the approved training and qualification programs, along with professional best practices that contribute to improving performance efficiency and enhancing security sustainability.
Furthermore, the visit included a stop at the Criminal Evidence Department within the Criminal Security Sector. There, experts explained their efforts in detecting crimes using modern forensic sciences and cutting-edge investigative techniques that align with international standards.
Smart City Technology and Traffic Safety Systems
At the Safe City Department, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the latest developments and systems used in traffic and criminal aspects. Officials demonstrated the smart technologies and systems employed to manage traffic safety and achieve optimal levels of efficiency and effectiveness in decision-making processes.
Meanwhile, the delegation explored training and qualification programs at the Police Rehabilitation Department, learning about modern training methodologies that Abu Dhabi Police applies according to global best practices. Financial Fraud Prevention Efforts Demonstrated
The visit concluded with a tour of the Abu Dhabi Police Communication Center for Combating Financial Fraud. The delegation examined mechanisms for receiving reports and handling financial fraud cases, as well as the center’s role in deploying smart technologies to reduce these crimes and enhance community prevention efforts.
In contrast to traditional policing methods, Abu Dhabi Police has demonstrated how integrating artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can significantly improve response times and crime prevention capabilities. The exchange of knowledge between Abu Dhabi Police and international partners like the Bavarian Police represents an ongoing commitment to security innovation and cross-border collaboration.
