RELY, a new brand under Chery Commercial Vehicle UAE, has made its GCC debut with the RELY R8 mid-size pickup model. The launch reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering commercial mobility solutions in the UAE and marks a strategic expansion in the region. Al Ghurair Mobility has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for RELY in the UAE.

The launch took place at an event at Warehouse Four, Al Quoz, on 10 February 2026. Attendees included senior leaders such as John Iossifidis, Group Chief Executive Officer of Al Ghurair, and Oscar Rivoli, Chief Executive Officer of Motors, Al Ghurair Mobility, alongside key stakeholders from Chery Group OEM, including Chuck Wei, Country Director and General Manager – GCC Region, Leo Lu, General Manager – Saudi Arabia, and Shen Buxin, Brand Manager.

The RELY R8 is a mid-size pickup designed for customers who demand durability, versatility and real-world performance. Targeted at fleet companies, SMEs, contractors and private owners, the RELY R8 is engineered to handle demanding workloads and varied road conditions while delivering the comfort and usability required for everyday driving. Its construction and design provide the reliability expected in the region.

The RELY R8 is offered with a choice of petrol and diesel powertrains, including a 2.3L turbocharged diesel engine producing 161 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, and a 2.4L petrol engine delivering 158 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, both available in 2WD and 4WD configurations. Across the range, RELY offers modern connectivity, advanced safety and convenience technologies, and work-ready features designed to support both business and lifestyle use. The RELY pickup range is positioned in the UAE with prices starting from AED 59,900 (excluding VAT).
