The UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum will launch tomorrow as part of “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever” week, which runs until February 4 across all emirates. The forum aims to strengthen economic, trade, and investment ties between the two nations while highlighting the deep historical relationships that unite the brotherly countries and peoples. According to the official announcement, the economic forum serves as a platform to explore investment opportunities and enhance trade development in vital sectors.

The event translates the wise leadership’s directives to celebrate UAE-Kuwait fraternal relations and partnership. It will provide an ideal venue for exchanging insights on economic developments and opening new horizons for bilateral cooperation, the ministry said.

UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum Goals and Strategic Importance

The forum seeks to explore investment opportunities and promote commercial development between the two nations while supporting entrepreneurs. Additionally, it will spotlight success stories from both countries and examine the future of bilateral relations. The event emphasizes the historical depth connecting the two fraternal nations and their peoples.

His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, stated that the UAE and Kuwait share solid fraternal relations that form a strong foundation for developing deeper and more sustainable commercial and investment cooperation. According to Al Zeyoudi, this supports building qualitative partnerships between the private sector and business communities in both countries, opening wider prospects for investors and entrepreneurs.

Senior Officials to Open Economic Forum

His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and His Excellency Khalifa Abdullah Al Ajeel, Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, will jointly inaugurate the forum. Both ministers will deliver keynote speeches reviewing economic and trade relations between the two countries and how they have evolved over decades. They will discuss the exceptional fraternal relationship between the UAE and Kuwait and ways to develop economic partnership supporting sustainable development.

Al Zeyoudi emphasized that the forum represents a pivotal milestone for enhancing the strategic partnership between the UAE and Kuwait commercially and investment-wise. The event contributes to achieving the vision of both countries’ leadership in building an integrated model based on economic diversification, expanding trade and investment horizons, and empowering the private sector on both sides.

Dialogue Sessions and Business Success Stories

The forum will feature dialogue sessions with officials, businesspeople, and media figures from both nations. One session titled “From Kuwait to the Region and the World: The Rise of Retail Companies and Their Regional Empires” will highlight success stories of retail, tourism, and real estate companies in Kuwait and the UAE. The session examines how these companies transformed from successful local models into regional empires with growing influence in regional and global markets.

However, another session will revisit “Memories of Marched Market” as one of the prominent commercial and social symbols in the region. It will address the market’s historical role in activating commercial movement and building trust bridges between merchants. Meanwhile, the session will spotlight the roots of Kuwaiti-Emirati partnership in trade and business, according to the program.

Entrepreneurship and Youth Innovation Focus

A session titled “From Idea to Platform: Emirati-Kuwaiti Youth” will showcase the journey of platforms and companies that started from entrepreneurial ideas and evolved into leading digital platforms in e-commerce and services. In contrast, the session “Journey of Entrepreneurs: From Creativity to Sustainable Economic Impact” will review entrepreneurs’ experiences from the initial creative idea through establishment phases and challenges to achieving sustainable economic impact.

The forum will also include sessions on the Al-Razooqi family’s history in the UAE and their contributions to administrative and economic work before the Union’s establishment. Additionally, a session will host Talal Jassim Al-Kharafi from Al-Kharafi Group, while banking sessions will examine the journeys of Kuwait National Bank and Emirates NBD as prominent models of UAE-Kuwait banking integration.

The forum continues as part of the broader week-long celebration strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations. Further announcements regarding follow-up initiatives and agreements are expected following the conclusion of the economic forum sessions.
