Comprehensive Media Ecosystem Serving 40,000 Professionals
Dubai Media City serves as the cornerstone of TECOM Group’s media sector. Together with Dubai Production City and Dubai Studio City, it forms an integrated media ecosystem that supports more than 40,000 media professionals, content creators, and innovators. This comprehensive network has attracted significant international presence to the emirate.
The ecosystem hosts over 60% of Fortune 500 companies in the media sector, according to TECOM Group. Additionally, it houses a wide range of companies specializing in television and radio content production, as well as prominent social media content creators and digital platform operators. This diverse mix has established Dubai as a regional powerhouse for creative industries.

In his statement marking the 25th anniversary, Al Suwaidi emphasized the ongoing commitment to providing the best integrated media system. He stated that Dubai Media City will continue equipping the sector with innovative solutions and emerging technologies, contributing to enhancing Dubai’s position as a global center for the creative economy.
The free zone actively enhances its contribution to the creative economy through talent development initiatives. These include the Emirati Media Talent Pledge, which emerged from the Arab Media Forum and was signed by TECOM Group in 2024. This initiative reflects a commitment to nurturing local talent in the media sector.
Supporting Innovation Through Strategic Partnerships
Additionally, Dubai Media City supports efforts to boost creative economy growth by hosting strategic projects. The hub currently hosts the InstaBlock Lab project, operated by the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism. This partnership demonstrates the integration between government initiatives and private sector infrastructure in advancing innovation.
