Expo City Dubai will host its annual Hai Ramadan celebration as the holy month approaches. The event invites visitors of all ages and nationalities to experience cultural activities and dining at Al Wasl Plaza.
Hai Ramadan forms a central part of the city-wide Season of Wulfa, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The celebration reflects the initiative’s three pillars – reflection, connection and blessing – through a community neighbourhood experience and international Iftar, centred around Expo City’s signature iftar offerings.
Al Wasl Plaza hosts Hai Ramadan from 21 February to 15 March throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. The venue welcomes families and friends daily from 17:00 to 22:00. Orchestra Ensemble performances, dome projections and cultural experiences feature throughout Hai Ramadan. The main Iftar Cannon of Dubai, a central Ramadan tradition, will run from the first day of Ramadan through to Eid Al Fitr.
Amna Abulhoul, Executive Creative Director of Entertainment and Experiences at Expo City Dubai, said:
“Hai Ramadan reflects the true spirit of Wulfa – the warmth, generosity and sense of belonging that define the holy month. Beneath the dome, every detail is designed to bring people together, from shared iftar tables and international cuisines to moments of quiet reflection, creating experiences that feel both deeply personal and beautifully communal.”
Hai Ramadan offers two iftar experiences:
Iftar Al Souk
- A celebration inspired by traditional Emirati markets. Guests move between heritage food carts, experiencing authentic flavours in a social setting
- Priced at AED 150 per person (fully redeemable on food and beverages)
- Children aged 3 years and under dine free
Iftar Al Majlis
- A seated experience with an international buffet, premium table service and live orchestral music beneath the dome
- Priced at AED 285 per adult, AED 185 per child (4–11 years)
- Children aged 3 years and under dine free (booking required)
Al Wasl Plaza provides activities beyond iftar. Families can access the Kids’ Sports Arena, a PlayStation gaming zone, traditional Emirati games and Ramadan-themed workshops. Projections on the dome display light and narrative content.
Tickets and full experience details are available on Platinumlist.
