Hi! I'm here to help you understand this article. Ask me anything about the content!

Inventor Roxane T. Beck has created the world’s first single-use bioelectrical device designed to replicate the results of professional skincare procedures at home. The technology was assessed at Sephora’s (LVMH) headquarters in 2019 and received its highest award in Seoul that same year.

YamaYami has launched the E-PATCH, a bioelectrical system contained within an ultra-thin film of less than 3 mm. The device was created by Roxane T. Beck, an inventor and bioengineering specialist whose work sits at the intersection of biology and electrical engineering. The E-PATCH is not a standard skincare patch. It functions as a self-contained bioelectrical system designed to change how skincare works at a cellular level.

In 2024, the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA, Switzerland) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) named the E-PATCH the best invention in the world. Roxane T. Beck received recognition as the world’s best inventor, a distinction that reflects the significance of the technology she has developed.

The E-PATCH is built around the principle of controlled electrotaxis, a method that uses a directed electrical current gradient to stimulate cell activity. Two core inventions by Beck made this possible: an ultra-compact printed battery that powers the device without wires, and a pH stabiliser that removes the risk of skin burns, a technical problem that larger companies including TEVA, Johnson & Johnson, Molex, and Philips had not resolved. These two elements are what allow a method previously confined to clinical settings to work safely and reliably at home.

Each E-PATCH session takes 15 minutes. The device works at the level of cellular physiology to reduce puffiness, improve microcirculation, and support skin firmness and elasticity. With continued use, it creates conditions that support tissue recovery over time.

One set of two patches is priced at USD 20. The E-PATCH is designed for use after long-haul travel, ahead of important occasions, or as part of a regular skincare routine. It delivers results at a clinical level without requiring a clinic visit.

The E-PATCH is aimed at people who want skincare that is grounded in science and works within the demands of a busy schedule. It is suited to anyone who needs reliable, fast results and cannot afford to compromise on how they look or feel.
