The Abu Dhabi Shooting Grand Prix at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club has concluded its skeet competitions with outstanding performances from elite international shooters. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in Al Ain Region, the skeet shooting events delivered impressive results across both men’s and women’s categories.
In the women’s skeet competition, Finland’s Mariut Hinonen claimed first place with 35 points in the final round, according to official tournament results. American shooter Samantha Simonton secured second place with 31 points, while Cyprus’ Panagiota Andreou finished third with 27 points.
International Field Delivers Competitive Skeet Shooting Action
The women’s competition featured strong performances from across the globe. Britain’s Bethany Norton placed fourth with 24 points, followed by Italy’s Chiara Costa in fifth with 20 points. Sweden’s Victoria Larsson secured sixth place with an identical score of 20 points.
Regional representation was notable in the women’s final standings, with Bahrain’s Maryam Al Assam finishing seventh with 9 points and Qatar’s Hajar Ghulam Mohammed taking eighth place with 8 points. The diverse international field highlighted the tournament’s appeal among world-class competitors.

In the men’s skeet category, American Christian Elliott emerged victorious with 35 points in the final. Egypt’s Azmy Mehelba matched Elliott’s score to claim second place, while fellow American Vincent Hancock secured third position with 31 points.
The men’s competition showcased considerable depth of talent from the Middle East and Europe. Qatar’s Rashed Saleh Al Athba finished fourth with 26 points, demonstrating strong regional shooting prowess. Poland’s Kasper Bacsalari and Finland’s Timi Valijonemi both tied for fifth place with 21 points each.

Kuwait’s Nasser Al Dhahani placed seventh with 10 points, while Denmark’s Jesper Hansen rounded out the top eight with 9 points. The competitive field reflected the tournament’s status as a premier event on the international shooting calendar.
