The comprehensive winter program caters to both overnight guests on all-inclusive packages and day visitors, with activities scheduled throughout the week. According to the resort, the initiative aims to provide visitors with memorable experiences combining fine dining, recreation facilities, and entertainment in a single destination that captures the essence of Abu Dhabi’s winter season.
Outdoor Dining Returns to Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island
The resort’s signature Saturday brunch at Turquoise restaurant has returned with an outdoor format, operating from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM every Saturday. The experience features a premium buffet including fresh seafood and grilled meats, accompanied by unlimited beverages and live music performances. The brunch is included in the all-inclusive package for resort guests, while non-residents can attend for 525 AED per person.
The outdoor setting offers views of the Arabian Gulf, providing guests with a luxurious dining atmosphere under the warm winter sun. The resort positions this offering as ideal for both social gatherings and family occasions, capitalizing on the region’s most comfortable weather conditions.
Family Entertainment and Children’s Programs
The Rixy Kids Carnival takes place every Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the resort’s children’s club. Activities include carnival games, bouncy castles, face painting, drumming sessions, magic shows, arts and crafts stations, and dedicated candy and fruit corners. The event is included for guests on all-inclusive packages, while day passes are available for 695 AED per person.
Children aged two to six years receive a 50% discount, and entry is complimentary for children under two years old. The carnival is open to both resort guests and day pass holders, allowing families to access the facilities and entertainment without requiring overnight accommodation.
Wellness Activities at Exclusive Sports Club
The resort’s Exclusive Sports Club has introduced outdoor wellness activities scheduled on specific weekdays throughout the winter season. Programs include sunrise yoga sessions, sound healing therapy, indoor cycling classes, and other specialized activities conducted in outdoor settings. These sessions are designed to provide guests with a comprehensive wellness experience beside the sea.
The outdoor fitness and wellness programs at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island reflect the resort’s strategy to maximize use of its beachfront location during optimal weather conditions. Additionally, the variety of activities aims to attract health-conscious travelers seeking active vacation options in Abu Dhabi.
Seasonal Programming Strategy
The winter season represents a crucial period for hospitality businesses in the United Arab Emirates, when temperatures become comfortable for outdoor activities. Luxury resorts in Abu Dhabi typically enhance their outdoor offerings during this time to compete for both tourist and local resident patronage. Meanwhile, the all-inclusive model employed by Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island allows the resort to bundle multiple experiences into comprehensive packages.
The resort’s location on Saadiyat Island positions it within Abu Dhabi’s cultural district, which includes museums and galleries alongside beach resort properties. This combination of cultural attractions and leisure facilities contributes to the destination’s appeal during the winter months when international visitor numbers typically increase.
Reservations for the various activities can be made by contacting the resort at +971 50 668 2763 or through the property’s online booking system. The resort has not announced an end date for the winter program, though such seasonal offerings typically continue through early spring when temperatures begin to rise again.
