Emirates airline, the world’s largest international carrier, has announced enhanced service between Dubai and Cairo with six additional weekly flights starting December 1, 2025, responding to growing demand during the winter season. The Dubai-based carrier revealed that the new Emirates flights to Cairo have been carefully scheduled to provide optimal connectivity with its extensive global network of destinations.
Starting February 1, 2026, the service will increase to an additional daily flight with new timing that complements the current four daily flights, according to the airline. This expansion reflects Emirates’ confidence in strong travel demand to and from Egypt for both leisure and business purposes, with Boeing 777 aircraft operating the routes.
Enhanced Connectivity for Emirates Flights to Cairo
The additional flights are designed to offer seamless connections with key destinations in the Far East including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, according to Emirates. Additionally, the new schedule provides improved links to destinations in East and South Africa such as Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa.
Between December 1, 2025, and January 31, 2026, flight EK 929 will depart Dubai International Airport at 10:45, arriving in Cairo at 13:00, while return flight EK 930 will leave Cairo at 14:40, reaching Dubai at 19:55 on all days except Thursday. However, from February 1, 2026, the daily flight EK 929 will depart Dubai at 04:00, arriving in Cairo at 06:15, with the return EK 930 leaving Cairo at 08:00 and arriving in Dubai at 13:15, all times local.
Cairo Becomes Most Served African City
Since joining Emirates’ global network, Egypt has been a strategic priority market for the carrier. Cairo currently receives more Emirates A380 operations than any other city in the Middle East and North Africa region outside Dubai, according to the airline.
With the launch of the fifth daily flight, Cairo will also become the most-served city within the Emirates network in Africa. This milestone comes as the airline approaches its 40th anniversary of operations to Cairo, underscoring its long-term commitment to the Egyptian market.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, said Cairo remains one of the region’s most active destinations for passengers and air cargo, and has always been a central destination for the airline. The additional service will facilitate customer movement across the global network and strengthen trade and tourism links between Egypt, the UAE, and the world, he added.
Bilateral Relations and Economic Impact
Egypt and the United Arab Emirates share strong bilateral relations extending to tourism, industry, and trade, including joint development projects in Cairo, the North Coast, and other regions across the country. Meanwhile, the additional flights will enhance connectivity between both nations and increase air cargo capacity to and from Egypt by up to 300 tons weekly via Boeing 777 passenger aircraft.
Emirates SkyCargo, the carrier’s cargo arm, transports key Egyptian products including fresh fruits such as strawberries and vegetables to multiple global markets. This service supports the Egyptian economy by connecting local businesses with customers worldwide quickly and efficiently, according to the airline.
Four Decades of Service
Since launching its first flights to Cairo in 1986, Emirates has established itself as a long-term partner for Egypt’s aviation, tourism, and trade sectors. The carrier has consistently expanded operations and increased flight frequencies, having transported more than 10 million passengers to and from the Egyptian market to date.
Emirates has made significant contributions to inbound passenger traffic from key markets including China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, and Australia. In contrast to many carriers, Emirates has maintained its commitment to Egypt even during challenging periods, reinforcing its position as a reliable aviation partner.
The expanded service is expected to commence as scheduled on December 1, 2025, with the full daily fifth flight beginning February 1, 2026, pending final operational approvals from Egyptian aviation authorities.
