Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced the seventh edition of Ramadan Heroes, a humanitarian initiative run in partnership with talabat UAE and the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). The initiative encourages community members to support charitable efforts during Ramadan and promote a culture of giving.

Ramadan Heroes forms part of Dubai Culture’s contribution to the ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ campaign, which sits within the Season of Wulfa. The campaign works to strengthen family bonds and mark Emirati social and cultural occasions, while highlighting local heritage, authentic values, and Dubai’s identity as a city built on tolerance, coexistence, and respect for different cultures.

Running under the theme ‘Celebrating the Spirit of Giving,’ the initiative supports underprivileged families and individuals across the UAE. Residents can donate iftar meals, food parcels, Eid clothing, and Sadaqa through the Ramadan Heroes virtual charity on the talabat UAE app. ERC teams then deliver these donations to beneficiaries in a secure and timely manner, reflecting the values of compassion and social responsibility.

Saleh Al Breiki, Director of the Corporate Communication and Marketing Department at Dubai Culture, spoke about the significance of the initiative and its role in encouraging community participation in charitable work that reflects Emirati culture. He said: “Through this campaign, we continue to reaffirm our sectoral priorities and responsibilities, which focus on investing in people, enhancing quality of life, and fostering family cohesion and social connectedness. Assisting underprivileged families and meeting their needs throughout the holy month highlights the essence of Dubai as a positive and inspiring environment defined by tolerance and openness.”

Al Breiki added: “Over the years, this effort has achieved remarkable success, thanks to its expanding reach and ability to engage diverse segments of society. We are proud of our partnership with talabat UAE and the Emirates Red Crescent, which represents a model of integrated institutional cooperation and plays a vital role in advancing the leadership’s vision to position Dubai as a global humanitarian hub.”

Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director at talabat UAE, said: “Giving back remains an integral part of talabat’s values and we are proud to launch the seventh edition of the ‘Ramadan Heroes’ campaign this year in alignment with the Season of Wulfa. This milestone reflects our long-standing partnership with Dubai Culture and our continued collaboration with our trusted charity partner, Emirates Red Crescent. By harnessing our technology for good, we are making it simple and secure for the community to donate through the talabat app during Ramadan and all year round.”
